Timing Podcast Mar 16 - Season 5, Episode 6

Aloha Brad,

Just finished listening to your latest podcast. S5 E6

Was about to shoot you an email but decided to take your suggestion and post a new topic instead. For anyone who is working on their metronome timing.

This was very helpful as I have been working on timing along with so many other things lately. Understanding half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes and sixteenth notes within the parameters of the metronome beat has been part of my practice. But your explanation of playing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” with quarter notes and half notes, then switching to eighth notes and quarter notes was helpful to explain hiow to slow down or speed up the tempo of the song while keeping the relative metronome rhythm the same. I was able to clap along to your example… :clap:t4: :clap:t4: :clap:t4: :clap:t4: :clap:t4: :clap:t4: :clap:t4: ( count ) :clap:t4: so that tells me that my practice is actually paying off. So let me be the first one to say, YES to a Part 2 follow up to this podcast.
